Describe your study.
Get the questionnaire and the statistics.

Gyanank drafts your questionnaire from a plain description, collects responses by link or QR code in ten Indian languages, and runs the right statistical test on what comes back. Built for student researchers in India.

No credit card. Building and collecting are free forever. Responses are stored on servers in India, and never sent to an AI provider.

Academic stress & lifestyle survey

48 responses

You Is stress different between genders?

Independent-samples t-test

Female students scored higher on the stress scale than male students, and a difference this large is unlikely to be chance at the conventional 5% threshold.

GroupnMSD
Female263.800.98
Male223.101.12

t(46) = 2.31, p = .025, d = 0.67

The model picks the test and writes the interpretation. Every number is computed by scipy from your own data.

How it works

Four steps, start to finish

No forms builder to learn, and no separate statistics package to install.

Step 1

Describe the study

Two or three sentences about who you are studying and what you want to find out. You get back a draft questionnaire with a consent notice already attached.

Step 2

Edit and translate

Rewrite any question by hand, or ask for a revision in plain words (make it shorter). Then translate the whole form into ten Indian languages.

Step 3

Collect responses

Publishing gives you a public link, a WhatsApp share button and a printable QR poster. Respondents answer in any browser without signing up.

Step 4

Ask the data a question

Type something like is stress different between genders? and get the test, the numbers and a plain-English reading of them.

What respondents see

A form that works on any phone, in their own language

One survey, translated in a single step. The respondent picks a language at the top of the form, and answers from every language pool into the same dataset.

No app and no account: the link opens in whatever browser they already have, and every form starts with an itemised consent notice they cannot skip.

What you get

Everything between the idea and the results chapter

Questionnaire drafting

Describe the study in your own words and get a full draft, consent text included. Revise it by asking rather than by rebuilding it.

Ten Indian languages

Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Punjabi and Urdu, translated in one step.

Link, QR poster, WhatsApp

Every published survey gets a public link, a printable QR poster and a share button. Answering needs no app and no account.

Live dashboard

Responses appear as they arrive, with a chart for each question. Nothing to configure and no spreadsheet in between.

Statistics you can check

The model names the test and explains why it fits; scipy computes the numbers. You see the reasoning as well as the result.

Word and CSV export

APA 7 tables as .docx to drop into your results chapter, or the full response data as CSV for your own analysis.

Privacy

Your respondents' trust is the study's foundation

Gyanank is built for the DPDP Act. Every form opens with an itemised consent notice, and individual answers are never sent to an AI provider — only aggregated statistics.

Data stays in India

Responses are stored in a database on Azure infrastructure located in India.

Consent first

Each respondent sees a clear, non-skippable consent notice before question one.

Respondents stay in control

A reference code lets anyone view or delete their own response, with no account.

Automatic erasure

Responses to a closed survey are permanently erased within 365 days, or immediately if you ask.

Questions

Before you start

Is it free?
Yes, free while Gyanank is in beta. There is no card to enter and no trial timer. Pricing after beta will be announced well before it changes.
Do respondents need an account or an app?
No. They answer through a public link, a QR code or a WhatsApp message, in whatever browser they already have. Surveys are anonymous unless you add an identifying question yourself.
Which languages can the survey be in?
English, plus translation into Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Punjabi and Urdu. Respondents choose a language at the top of the form, and answers from all languages pool into the same dataset.
Does the AI compute the statistics?
No, and that is deliberate. The model selects a test and explains the outcome, but every number (means, t-values, p-values, correlations) is computed by scipy, Python's standard scientific library. The model never does arithmetic.
Can I use the output in a thesis or paper?
Yes. Export APA 7 result tables as a Word file, or the raw responses as CSV. As with any tool, check the chosen test against your own judgement, and your guide's, before you submit.
What happens to responses when the study ends?
Closing a survey starts the retention clock: its responses are permanently erased within 365 days. Deleting the survey, or your account, erases them immediately.
